Biscayne Bay Campus
The Biscayne Bay Campus Human Resources (BBC-HR) office serves as an extension to the Human Resource offices at Modesto Madique Campus. Our mission is to provide outstanding customer service and quality leadership to the University community as well as to recruit and retain a diverse workforce; while primarily servicing the needs of Biscayne Bay campus employees.

The BBC-HR office is responsible for communicating, representing and facilitating all human resource related matters to include:
  • Utilizing creative recruitment strategies to recruit the best and the brightest, while working closely with Equal Opportunity Programs and Diversity to ensure that recruitment practices are compliant with federal and state employment regulations.   • Coordinating the completion of required documents to support the onboarding of new hires to the BBC campus. For more information, please visit Employee Records.

  • Administering all University benefits; researching and recommending new programs, as well as promoting, supporting and facilitating the university’s Worlds Of Wellness (WOW) initiatives. For more information, please visit Benefits Administration.

  • Facilitating the orientation of new employees to BBC as an extension to the University’s New Employee Experience (NEE), as well as promoting training and development opportunities for staff.   • Providing assistance and information to the University community regarding time and labor and the administration of employee leave requests as well as other administrative Payroll functions. For more information, please visit Payroll.

  • Supporting Employee & Labor Relations functions by interpreting the University’s policies and applicable employment laws. Coordinating and administering the complaint/disciplinary/processes, as well as managing the Separation of Employment and facilitating the Exit Review Process. Services provided at the BBC Human Resource department include, but not limited to:
  • Facilitating and implementing all human resources programs and initiatives

  • Managing the recruitment and onboarding of all BBC employees

  • Identifying and facilitating professional development opportunities to employees at the BBC

  • Identifying, promoting and facilitating wellness initiatives for all BBC employees

  • Providing compensation related information, tools, and training to HR Liaisons and Department Managers

  • Providing advice and guidance to HR Liaisons and Managers in the processing of HR transactions

  • Consulting with, and assisting employees and supervisors with the resolution of issues, concerns, or difficulties they may be experiencing in the workplace

  • Providing assistance to employees and supervisors in the Performance Management process

  • Promoting a culturally diverse and inclusive working and learning environment where current and prospective faculty, staff, and students are treated fairly and valued for their individuality

  • Fostering and promoting employee engagement initiatives
