Develops and directs the university-wide Talent Management and Development functions, including strategies for building the talent pipeline: assessing, developing, and retaining talent. Develops the strategies and systems for Talent Management and Succession Planning. Oversees the Leadership Development Institute, Professional Development programs, New Employee Orientation and Onboarding, and Performance Management systems and processes.
Collaborates with the Director on the design and implementation of initiatives, programs, and systems that will best optimize performance, strategy, structure, process, and culture. Designs and promotes talent management strategies and systems. Implements strategies to continuously cultivate a talent pipeline for the University. Provides ongoing performance management support to the FIU managers/supervisors and employees. Consults with Departments and recommends to Director programs that support the University's strategic objectives and define best practices, processes and contents to achieve desire results. Designs and delivers organizational change initiatives and team effectiveness. Develops partnerships to meet the University's leadership and professional development needs.
Employee and Retention Specialist
Assists with planning and implementing competency-based learning curriculum focused on leadership and interpersonal skills. Develops unique learning experiences for assigned topics using a variety of delivery methods that incorporate adult learning theory and experiential learning. Facilitates a variety of training programs for the university community. Gathers information on current programs and prepares reports to assist Director in enhancing programs offered. Assists with design and delivery of special projects, such as, customized learning events.
Provides administrative support to the Talent Management and Development Department in the management of the day-to-day operations; responds to employee inquiries; manages scheduling and logistics for new employee orientations, trainings, programs and events; reviews and approves Professional Development Hours Forms; provides assistance with the professional development online enrollment system.
