The TLC Brigade is comprised of faculty, staff and retirees (hereafter retirees are called Golden Panthers) who will demonstrate Tender Loving Care for any faculty member, staff member or Golden Panther who may be experiencing some unfortunate or challenging circumstance(s) in his or her personal and/or professional life. The TLC Brigade will be responsible for performing the following duties:

• Notifying the Division of Human Resources or the Office of the President of any incident that may require university assistance or intervention with proposed solution(s) consistent with privacy considerations;
• Providing support and/or resources to assist with the basic needs of our faculty, staff, and Golden Panthers due to unfortunate or challenging circumstances they may be experiencing; and
• Representing the university at special events, as possible or as assigned by the Chair

Appointment to this committee is made jointly by the President and the Vice President of Human Resources. Names submitted for consideration will be reviewed on an annual basis, and appointments will be made for a one (1) year term (renewable for one (1) year term). Members of this committee will serve on a volunteer capacity.

The TLC Brigade will meet at least three times a semester, or as often as deemed necessary by the Chair, to review matters and plan for future endeavors.
