Overview
This calculator is a decision-making tool for prospective employees considering a career at FIU. The total compensation employees receive from FIU is more than just a paycheck. It includes how much the university contributes to insurance, retirement, the number of paid leave days earned, and more. This calculator helps prospective employees compare their current compensation with what FIU can offer.
Individual benefits can differ depending on the position. This calculator is primarily for individuals who are considering an administrative or staff position.
Please note: For existing FIU employees, refer to the Total Rewards Statement in Employee Self Service.
Total Rewards Statement
The Total Rewards Statement details the value of each existing employee’s total compensation and benefits for each calendar year. This statement communicates the university’s commitment and investment in each employee. In addition, the statement includes wages and all salary additives such as bonuses, spot awards, overtime, shift differential pay, lead worker pay, on-call pay, and criminal justice incentive pay. The statement details a wide variety of benefits, including insurance, paid time off, and work-life programs.
